Our Programs
The New Local collaborates with local community partners to offer enriching art programs that empower and uplift diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ youth, Latinx families, the unhoused, and other underserved groups, fostering creativity, connection, and self-expression.
The New Local partners with Community Roots Midwife Collective’s First Moon Group to offer classes in clay and botanical arts for Indigenous youth and teens. These workshops create a space for participants to explore self-expression, build confidence, and deepen connections by incorporating their unique traditions and learning from one another. Through hands-on creative activities, the program celebrates cultural heritage while fostering meaningful relationships and a sense of community.

“The Colorado Chautauqua preserves, perpetuates and improves the historic site and spirit of Chautauqua by enhancing its community and values through cultural, educational, social and recreational experiences.”
The New Local collaborates with El Centro Amistad’s “Arte Sana” group to offer monthly art classes for women, creating a supportive space for connection and creativity. Each month, participants explore a different art form, guided by skilled instructors. To ensure accessibility, children are welcome to attend free of charge and are provided with engaging art programming led by TNL’s instructors, allowing the women dedicated time to connect, learn, and create in a nurturing environment. This program fosters personal growth, artistic exploration, and a strong sense of community.

New Horizons Cooperative Preschool
New Horizons Preschool brings together children from all backgrounds in an engaging and supportive, bilingual environment. TNL has partnered with New Horizons to provide frequent field trips for 3-5 year old students to explore the art gallery, learn skills and experience new materials not available in the classroom.
This program is made possible by The Addy Foundation.
The New Local partners with Haven Ridge to provide offsite art instruction for unhoused and at-risk women, transgender, and queer individuals. Led by TNL artists, these creative workshops offer a safe and supportive space for participants to explore self-expression, build confidence, and connect with others. Aligned with Haven Ridge’s mission of fostering safety, respect, and kindness, these art sessions empower individuals through creativity, promoting healing, growth, and a sense of belonging.
