Dennis Pohl is a PhD candidate at the interdisciplinary Research Group “Knowledge in the Arts” at the University of Arts Berlin (UdK) and co-director of “The House of Politics,” organized by the AA Visiting School, Brussels. His PhD research is entitled “The Aesthetics of the EU: The Role of Architecture and Infrastructure in European Governing.” Pohl studied architecture at Leibniz University Hannover and Artesis Antwerp. Besides a degree in philosophy from the KU Leuven, he holds a master’s in architecture and urban research from the AdBK Nürnberg. He has taught seminar courses in architectural history and theory as well as political philosophy in international contexts such as the Sandberg Institute Amsterdam and the UdK Berlin. Recently, he was DAAD fellow at Columbia University and a contributor to the Eurotopie project at the 16th Architecture Biennale in Venice.
